Code of Conduct
The American Mental Wellness Association (AMWA) unites individuals and businesses together for the common goal of Mental Wellness in the United States. We facilitate information dissemination, collaboration, and teamwork through our Mental Wellness Champions and in our Champion Arena.
To maintain your status as a Mental Wellness Champion, the following code of conduct must be followed:
- Adherence to the values of the AMWA
The AMWA focuses on Prevention, Early Intervention, Scientific Research, and Cures. Any individual or organization that speaks against these values may be removed from our Champion list. - Accurate, scientifically-backed information
We expect our Champions to make an earnest effort at being relevant with scientifically-based research and practices. While we accept and promote the use of complementary and alternative treatments and medicines, we expect these items to have a foundation in research with proven or promising results. The repeated promotion of treatments that are not founded in science and research is grounds for dismissal from being a Champion. - Respect for other Champions
Our Champion Arena is made up of individuals from all walks of life – from your average Joe to the power players in the mental health field. All Champions are expected to treat each other with respect and dignity. - Respect Confidentiality
The information available in our Champion Arena is for Champions only. Signing up to be a Champion is free, easy, and available to anyone. All information within the Champion Arena needs to be approved before distribution outside of the AMWA website.
Reporting Code of Conduct Violations: If you witness an individual or business violating the code of conduct, please report the incident with all supporting information (website URL, screenshots, etc.) of the violation to [email protected] and we will investigate the situation further.
